Carne Guisada
(Beef tips and Gravy)

Ingredients:
2 lbs Chuck Steak (cubed and trimmed)
1/2 Small onion (minced)
4 slices Green Pepper
1 Tomato (quartered)
1 tbsp Spice Mix
2 tsp Consume
4 oz Tomato Sauce
3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 tbsp Flour (for gravy)

Add vegetable oil and cubed meat to skillet and fry until juices have
evaporated and meat starts to fry. After meat starts to fry, add onion, green pepper and fry until onion is clear. Add spice mix and tomato sauce to skillet and stir. Add about 2 1/2 cups water to skillet. Add consume and stir well. Add quartered tomatoes and simmer on medium heat with tight fitting lid until meat is tender, (about 20 to 30 minutes). While meat is simmering, prepare flour and water mixture for gravy. Put flour in a jar with 1/3 cup water and cover with lid. Shake until smooth. After meat is tender, add water and flour mixture a little at a time to skillet (stirring) until desired texture of gravy is obtained. If gravy gets to thick, add more water to dilute. Let simmer 10 more minutes and serve.
